Without the intentional human intervention you rightly advocate, the greatest loss from the birth of generative "intelligence" may be its effecting the death of much of the humanities and liberal arts (specifically, the trivium of grammar, logic, and rhetoric) which can be extrapolated more broadly to effective communication and subsequently culture, since the latest and greatest large language model (LLM) generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) reliance on next-token prediction (NTP) and masked-language modeling (MLM) comprises glorified coherence patterns rather than actual human insight.
