Forced resettlement during and following the 1948 Nakba from the entirety of Palestine (especially the West Bank) now called the State of Israel, exclusively by the latter's regime. This is known.
Yes, the issue can and must be resolved by negotiation. This is why concessions have been historically made, yet promises not kept, especially given the repeal of the 2005 accord just this past spring, which has led to the approval of 5,000 illegal settlements to be constructed on the West Bank. IIRC, Hamas agreed to past negotiations and is currently seeking ceasefire.
Both parties are definitely not equally guilty. The Zionist regime has committed for decades the crimes and violence of: apartheid; settler colonialism; military occupation; dispossession and seizure; the captivity and detention of 2M+ civilians in the world's largest open-air prison; collective punishment using internationally-outlawed white phosphorous chemical bombs; indiscriminate assassination, assault, murder, and rape; ethnic cleansing and genocidal campaigns against the indigenous Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza; and justifies all of these heinous atrocities (against the objective inspection and decades-long observation of thousands of relief workers, NGOs and leading diplomats) as the nebulous, logically untenable and morally repugnant right to self-defense, despite being the colonizer, invader, and occupier for the past 75 years.
The Zionist regime is responsible for the current condition of the Palestinians, through its state-sanctioned violence and policy positions against her civilians. This much has been verified and voiced by leading Israeli intel/military/pols since this past weekend, including Knesset MP Ariel Kallner, who tweeted clamoring for another Nakba and has voiced support for the complete and total genocide of Gaza's remaining living population.
